Exploring traditional art mediums

Despite dedicating the majority of my career to digital art, I’ve always appreciated the tactile experience that traditional mediums are offering, and the unique textures, effects, and challenges that they’re bringing to the creative process.

I find that the hardest part of changing from digital to traditional art is rewiring your brain to consider drying times and learning new layering techniques. It is very important to trust the process, even if the painting doesn’t look like much quite yet. Pushing through definitely gives you the most rewarding results.

I chose acrylic paint because it dries quickly, which makes it much easier to work with. Not to mention that it reduces the risk of my cats getting stuck to a painting.
Acrylic markers have also been a great addition to my creative arsenal, because they allow for better motor control and make applying details much smoother.
